Your donation adds to the Farmland Preservation Fund. Thank you.
Note: Donations made on this page are added to the Working group's Farmland Preservation fund that we set aside to go towards the purchase of arable lands of local importance. You might also consider donating, on a different page, to the Working Group's operating fund to support our day-today expenses.
There are many reasons we should preserve farmland in our communities: quality farmland is a finite resource, local food production improves food security, farming provides jobs, and arable lands provide open space and ecosystem services. The Spokane Farmland Preservation Working Group strives to find unique solutions to the problem of diminishing farmland and we need your help.
You can contribute to farmland preservation by donating to our Farmland Preservation Fund.
Our Farmland Preservation Fund sets aside donations toward the purchase of arable lands of local importance and/or farmland preservation easements for those lands. We are currently collecting funds that will be used towards the public purchase of the former Kampa Farm in Vinegar Flats should that come to pass. If for some reason no public purchase materializes, all funds collected will continue to be held by our fiscal sponsor, Sustainable Obtainable Solutions, for a future purchase of farmland needing preservation or agricultural easements.
Please choose below an amount that fits your budget that will go into the Farmland Preservation Fund. Contact us if you are considering a larger donation.
Thank you so much for your donation.
Note: We can accept payment by check, PayPal or credit/debit cards. If paying by check, please make checks out to "Sustainable Obtainable Solutions" (our fiscal sponsor). Donations are tax deductible.
